I work as a neurosurgeon at Koç University Hospital. My clinical practice includes stereotactic radiosurgery (Gamma Knife treatment), functional neurosurgery (DBS / brain pacemaker), stereotactic biopsy (brain biopsy through a millimeter-sized incision), surgery for brain and spinal cord tumors, spine surgery and peripheral nerve surgery (nerve compression conditions).

Curriculum Vitae

I was born in Izmir in 1980. After completing my medical education at Celal Bayar University Faculty of Medicine, I completed my residency training in Neurosurgery at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital.

Between 2022 and 2024, I received advanced training in Gamma Knife Radiosurgery and Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery at Koç University Hospital under the supervision of Professor Selçuk Peker.

I continue to work with Professor Peker at the Koç University Hospital Gamma Knife Center and Department of Neurosurgery, one of the most experienced centers in Turkey and the surrounding region in Gamma Knife radiosurgery and stereotactic and functional neurosurgery.

I have authored 43 articles in international peer-reviewed journals and 35 articles in national peer-reviewed journals, together with numerous oral presentations and written abstracts at international and national congresses. I have also authored numerous international and national book chapters and served as an assistant editor for books.
